What is rope access rigging and lifting?
Rope access positions a technician at height, over the side or inside a structure using a working line and a separate safety line. From that position, the rigging scope can include establishing temporary arrangements, securing components and guiding loads through a controlled path.
An access rope technician manages personal positioning and carries out the assigned rigging or handling task at the work face. The technician works within the approved plan, defined load limits and site controls; engineering decisions, lift approval and activities outside that scope remain with the responsible project roles.
